Time For a Change in Venue, and It Pays Off Handsomely

As noted on my page for New Hampshire, I broke from my traditional trip to Maine and decided to visit New Hampshire this year instead. The New England and upper Atlantic Coast had a good deal of snow and rain this past year, and many observers thought that such conditions might result in a gorgeous Fall color change for leaf peepers, and it most assuredly did. When I first arrived in New Hampshire, it took me no time at all to start photographing. The hillsides around Lincoln, New Hampshire, were simply spectacular and packed with almost any color that one would want to see. On days when rain threatened and storm clouds danced overhead, the energy infused into the landscape was both breath-taking and almost overwhelming. The only problem that I encountered was that I arrived right near peak color, and it would have been a bit more beneficial to have arrived about three days earlier. Nonetheless, there was nothing to be disappointed about, as color abounded literally everywhere. My photography Muse was therefore very kind to me and I came away with many lovely images as rewards for my travel. Now, the question for me is where do I go to next year, New Hampshire or Maine? I feel as if I just began to explore this area, but so many factors enter into the production a a beautiful Fall that one can never be certain what one will find on any trip to New England. Something certainly to think about in planning for Fall 2027.
